Tatjana Hajtnik, MA has over 20 years of experience in the field of information science. Her expertise experience evolved over the years through her work in business companies, public sector and state administration alike. She began her professional career as a mainframe system engineer, and continued her work at the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia as an active participant in the process of information system reorganisation in OE Krško. She was one of contributing participants in the pilot project for health insurance card in OE Krško, where she was in person in charge of adjusting infrastructure for health insurance card operations in health centres. In the years between 1999 and 2006 she has been intensely involved in dealing with the issue of information security in state administration (Head of Security Service at the Government Centre for Informatics) and has been the one who encouraged implementation of recent standards in the field of information security. In October 2006 she became the Head of Division on electronic archives and computer support at the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, devoting most of her time to implement provisions of PDAAIA (Protection of Archives and Documents and Archival Institutions Act) in relation to e-archiving of documents and archives, as well as to establish e-archives.
