Jantje Steenhuis (b. 1957) is since 2006 director of the Municipal Archives of Rotterdam. She started working in Rotterdam as deputy-director in 1998. Previously, she was the head-archivist of NS (the Dutch Railway Company). Steenhuis graduated from the States Archives School in The Hague in 1991. She has been treasurer of the Royal Netherlands Association of Archivists and treasurer of the Archival Publications Foundation. Currently she is chair of the BRanche organisation of Archival Institutions in the Netherlands (BRAIN) and chair of the Section of Audiovisual Archives.
