Biography:
J. Kimlon Seymour Kimlon has worked in conservation at the Cayman Islands National Archive (CINA) for 14 years. Born in Trinidad and raised in the Cayman Islands, Mrs. Seymour studied conservation at Camberwell College of Arts, London, England, obtaining both BA (Hons) and a Master’s degree in conservation, with a specialisation in photographic conservation. In 2007 she gained an MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Portsmouth, England. She is currently Head of Preservation (CINA) and in addition to her conservation responsibilities she is a member of the sub-committee, of the National Hurricane Committee, responsible for the protection of government records. Since `Hurricane Ivan' in 2004, a great deal of her time has been occupied with disaster planning for the Cayman Islands government, including development and presentation of training workshops for government agencies.
