2. Colleen McEwen has worked as an archivist for the last 30 years in Australia. She holds a Bachelors Degree majoring in history and political science, and a Graduate Diploma in Archives Administration both from the University of New South Wales. She has worked in the National Archives of Australia from 1997 to 2007, the Department of Defence 1992 to1997; the Noel Butlin Archives Centre at the Australian National University 1982 to1992 and the State Archives of South Australia from 1977 to 1982. Her experience has covered all aspects of archives administration and current recordkeeping, including the management of electronic records. Colleen is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Archivists has shown a strong interest in archival education serving as the Education portfolio member on the ASA Council 2001-2003 and undertaking the role of the Secretary of the course Accreditation Committee.
