Dr Sigrid McCausland has been Education Officer for the Australian Society of Archivists since January 2006. She was previously University Archivist at The Australian National University, where she was responsible for the Noel Butlin Archives Centre, one of Australia's leading collections of business and labour records, and for developing the University's own archives. Sigrid began her career with National Archives in Canberra and also worked as an archivist at the University of Technology, Sydney; the City of Sydney and the Mitchell Library, State Library of NSW. She has had a long interest in archival education, having taught archives at the University of NSW and having contributed to the ASA's pioneering community workshops in the 1980s. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Archives and Manuscripts and has been involved in all three editions of Keeping Archives. She has also written for several archives and history publications.
