Alfred Lemmon is Director of the Williams Research Center of The Historic New Orleans Collection. In that capacity he was part of the institution's recover team after Katrina. He has published numerous articles relating to Louisiana colonial and cultural history. He has conducted disaster preparation workshops for SOLINET (Southeastern Library Network), and was a member of the Gulf Coast Academic Library Recovery Project planning committee.
