Biography:
Natalie has been Chief Executive of The National Archives since October 2005. Under her leadership, The National Archives have developed an ambitious new Vision and Strategy for The National Archives, which focuses on three major objectives: bringing history to life, guaranteeing the survival of today’s information for tomorrow and leading and transforming Information Management in government. Her previous career spans the public and private sector, including roles at management consultants McKinsey & Company, the UK National Health Service and The British Library. Natalie is responsible for leading The National Archives across all of its activities from its government role through to the delivery of public services. She is also Government's Head of Profession in Information & Knowledge Management, a visiting professor at the school of Library and archive science at UCL and sits on the Government’s Power of Information Task Force. Natalie is passionate about the promotion of good information and records management across the public and private sectors and about the role, which The National Archives plays in leading this.
