Dr Karen Anderson is Professor of Archives and Information Science at Mid Sweden University. Until the end of 2007 she worked at Edith Cowan University where she developed the Archives and Records program by distance education in 1994. Her research interests include approaches to records appraisal; recordkeeping systems in the digital environment; and the education and professional development needs of the archives and records management community. Karen is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Archivists and an Editor in Chief for Archival Science. She was President of ICA’s Section for Archival Educators from 2000-2004 and is currently Vice President.
