Open Source Software is available under a license that allows - and encourages - everyone to inspect, change, download and explore it, and to contribute to it, to the benefit of all.
This introductory talk provides insight into several key aspects of Open Source Software and its impact on cultural, organizational and governmental processes.

To provide insight in the socio-economical and cultural significance of the Open Source movement and clarify how it is fundamentally different from proprietary knowledge and software.
