The InterPARES Project is an international collaborative research effort aimed at the development of the knowledge necessary for the preservation of reliable, accurate and authentic records over the long term. The goal of its third phase is to establish through action research whether the findings, recommendations and products of the previous two phases apply to real situations, and to implement them in small and medium sized, or low-resource, archival organizations. To achieve this goal, the Project has assembled thirteen national and multinational teams from four continents that have been selected as test-beds in which to conduct case studies organizations of various nature, type and size, but comparable across teams.
The Directors of the teams Singapore and China will present the case studies that are being carried out in their respective test-beds since the Project began, in the Fall 2007, discussing the issues and challenges they have encountered, and the progress made to date.
