I wish to extend a warm invitation to all archivists and information professionals to the 16th ICA Congress in Kuala Lumpur from 21- 27 July 2008.
I am proud that the National Archives of Malaysia has been chosen to be the host of this prestigious event which also coincides with the 40th Anniversary of SARBICA and 60th Anniversary of ICA
This paper will examine the ongoing reconceptualization of and interactions between academic and practice-based archival research as part of the field's response to factors such as rapidly developing technology, globalization, standardization, and changing user needs.
