In the age of globalization, more cooperation is needed between all institutions keeping the memory of nations.
Target audience:
Representatives of archival institutions of the post Soviet republics, countries of the Warsaw coalition, and others working in the archival sphere and beyond.
Overall purpose and significance of session:
To encourage a discussion of the problems of cooperation between archives, libraries, museums and other cultural institutions in the Euro-Asian region.
Content description:
The session will consider general and specific cases in the processes of acquisition, preservation, development of finding aids, and use of archives, libraries, and museums and the effects of these activities on the preservation and use of national memory.
